Surrendering Fully to Jesus

Having an authentic relationship with Jesus requires a radical surrender that many find frightening, yet it is the path to true freedom and eternal joy. When we lay down our lives completely before our Lord and Savior, acknowledging Him as the sovereign ruler of our hearts, we discover His love is so profound that it transforms every aspect of our existence.

This life-changing transformation begins with going to regular confession - the humble acknowledgment of our brokenness before God. In that most blessed sacrament, we experience His infinite mercy, and we are made new. There is incomparable peace in knowing that no sin is beyond His forgiveness when we approach with genuine contrition. Through frequent confession, we maintain spiritual clarity and keep our relationship with Christ vibrant and pure.

The Holy Mass is where this relationship reaches its summit. It is there, that Heaven touches Earth as we receive the Body and Blood of our Savior. It is a profound reality where we are physically united with Jesus Christ Himself. Making the Mass the center focus of our week, and indeed seeking out Mass as often as possible, to be in His presence. Each celebration of the Mass is an opportunity to offer ourselves anew, to be transformed by His grace, and to join our prayers with His eternal sacrifice.

Many souls are lost because they chase worldly success, material comfort, wealth, and fleeting pleasures, that ultimately waste our time and steal our hearts. Satan cleverly disguises these temporary satisfactions as ultimate fulfillment, but they leave the soul empty and yearning. True joy comes not from accumulating wealth or achievements, but from complete abandonment to Divine Providence. When we stop clutching at worldly security and instead throw ourselves fully into the arms of Jesus, we find a peace that surpasses all understanding.

This requires a fearless love - one that is willing to appear foolish in the world's eyes. We must love Jesus more than our reputation, more than our comfort, more than our plans for the future, more than that tight grip on our riches. This love compels us to arrange our entire schedule around the Mass, to make regular confession a priority no matter how busy life becomes, and to evaluate every decision through the lens of eternal significance rather than temporary gain. Even if you live to 100 years old, eternity far exceeds that and eternity is an unchangeable choice. While we are here, only while we are here can we do our best to direct our lives to Heaven.

The world will call this fanatical. Yet those who have experienced the liberating power of total surrender to Jesus, know it is the only rational response to encountering the living God. Every saint throughout history has demonstrated this truth - that we only truly find ourselves when we lose ourselves completely in Christ.

There is an urgency in this message because souls hang in the balance. The enemy of our salvation is clever, making the path to hell appear reasonable, and acceptably sophisticated while painting devotion to Christ as unsophisticated or extreme. We must see through these deceptions. Regular participation in the sacraments is not optional - it is our lifeline to grace, our source of strength, and our protection against the subtle compromises that can lead us astray.

Let us embrace this call to radical devotion with joy, knowing that whatever we surrender to Jesus will be returned to us a hundredfold. When we make Him truly Lord of our lives - not just in word but in concrete actions like prioritizing Mass and confession - we discover what it means to truly live. This is the path of saints, the road to unshakeable peace, and the way to eternal life.

The choice is before us daily: Will we live for the passing pleasures and hollow successes of this world, or will we give everything to the One who gave everything for us? Choose Christ. Choose Him completely. Choose Him today and every day through devoted participation in the sacraments. This is not the safe path, but it is the only path that leads to eternal joy, and eternal life with Jesus.
