Welcome to Your Journey
How to Pray The Rosary! 🙏

Great news! You're about to learn How To Pray The Rosary. Let's break it down into simple, easy-to-follow steps that will make your prayer experience really special.

Getting Started - Your First Steps

Ready to begin? Fantastic! Here's how to start your prayer journey:

  1. Take that beautiful crucifix in your hand and make the Sign of the Cross with a joyful heart: "In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Then, let's proclaim our faith with the Apostles' Creed!
  2. Moving up to that first bead? Time for the "Our Father" - think of it as your spiritual warm-up!
  3. Next come the three "Hail Mary" beads - here's a lovely way to pray them: dedicate each one to faith, hope, and charity. Try saying "For Faith..." before your first Hail Mary, and so on. It adds such beautiful meaning!
  4. When you reach the chain after these beads, celebrate with the "Glory Be..."

The Heart of the Rosary - The Decades

Now comes the amazing journey through the mysteries! Here's how to make each decade special:

  1. On the single bead, announce your mystery with enthusiasm. For example, "The First Joyful Mystery: The Annunciation!" Then pray the Our Father.
  2. As you touch each of the ten beads in the decade, pray your Hail Marys while letting your heart dwell on the mystery. It's like having a heart-to-heart with Mary!
  3. Finish each decade with a beautiful trio: the Glory Be, the O My Jesus prayer, and announce your next mystery with joy!

Finishing Up Your Prayer Time

When you complete your fifth decade, you have choices:

  • Continue on this beautiful prayer journey with another set of mysteries
  • Or Pray the Glory Be, O My Jesus, Our Father, and the grand finale - the Hail Holy Queen!

The Beautiful Prayers We Share

THE APOSTLE'S CREED
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried, He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

THE OUR FATHER
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.   Amen.

THE GLORY BE
Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end.  Amen.

O MY JESUS (Fatima Prayer)
O my Jesus, have mercy on us. Forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Take all souls into heaven, especially, those most in need of thy mercy. Amen.

THE HAIL MARY
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

HAIL HOLY QUEEN
Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life our sweetness and our hope.  To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.  Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
V: Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God
R: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

LET US PRAY
O God, whose only begotten Son, by his life death and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant we beseech thee that by meditating upon these mysteries of the most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord, Amen.

Remember: Each time you pray the Rosary, you're creating a beautiful moment of connection and peace. Whether you are just starting or returning to this blessed devotion, you're embarking on a wonderful spiritual journey. Enjoy each prayer, each bead, and each moment of reflection! ✨
