Developing a Habit of Daily Scripture Reading
This is my personal method, I created this study, in the early 1980s.
Reading scripture daily is crucial for deepening our knowledge and love of God. As the picture shows, the Rosary Man's Gospel Study Method. I do my best to encourage everyone to spend time each weekday focusing on a different part of the Bible - the Gospels on Mondays through Thursdays, and the Acts of the Apostles on Fridays. This regular, systematic approach allows us to thoroughly immerse ourselves in the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Engaging with scripture in this way cultivates a stronger relationship with the Lord. By constantly exposing our minds to God's word, we come to better understand His nature, His plans, and His desires for our lives. Repeated reading and meditation on the Gospels in particular, builds a firm foundation of faith, as we witness Jesus' ministry, miracles, and ultimate sacrifice for our salvation. His love will magnify in your heart, the more time you spend in scripture.
Beyond just intellectual knowledge, regular scripture reading nourishes our souls and transforms our hearts. The words of the Bible, especially the gospels, has the power to convict, comfort, inspire, and guide us. As we make it a habit of prayerfully studying God's word, the Holy Spirit works to align our thoughts and actions with His will. This spiritual growth equips us to live more Christ-centered lives and share the Gospel with others.
Committing to this type of Gospel Study, or a similar scripture reading plan, is an investment that pays dividends for our spiritual well-being. By dedicating focused time each day to engaging with the Bible, we build a solid foundation of faith that can withstand the trials and temptations of this world. This disciplined approach cultivates a deep love for the Lord and prepares us to fulfill His purposes.
